Hi! I’m Amanda.
she/her | LPCC | MA in CMHC
Thanks for stopping by!
You may know me from a variety of different hats I wear in my life. At Authentic Alchemy, I hope to wear the hat of your counselor or therapist.
I am an LPCC in the state of Colorado, which is my home state. I started my journey in mental health at Regis University, where I earned my Masters in Clinical Mental Health in 2024. Previously, I got my BA in Psychology from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania. I’ve had the privilege to work closely with the LGBTQ+ community, specifically gender expansive and trans individuals, at the Transgender Center of the Rockies.
I have a specialty in LGBTQIA+ issues and complex mental health issues. I have a particular interest in a wide range of areas, including but not limited to personality disorders especially borderline personality disorder, anxiety, dissociation, Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID)/plurality, giftedness, psychosis, depression, and suicidal ideation.
I have lived experience as a second-generation Chinese-American, as a queer ciswoman, as a polytheist/pagan, and as an individual in a polyamorous relationship.
My approach is interdisciplinary or eclectic, drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am also receiving training in psychodynamic/psychoanalytic approaches and hope to expand my knowledge in that area. Having this variety of approaches allows me to really meet you where you’re at, tailoring our work together to your experience.
